The People's Program with a host of other promoters that land you on the site for the Peoples Program, beware, this is the Internet Version of a very very old scam. If you are old enough, there used to be a chain letter scam that went around for decades to send everyone on the list $1.00 each and then you send out a new list removing the person on the bottom of the list and putting your name a the top of the list. Then you waited to see if anyone sent you money, and waited and waited. Nothing is sold at any time to anyone. Is it legal? It depends on how you set it up. Is it ethical? Is playing the lottery ethical? These types of ads show up in Business Opportunity Magazines all the time and each one has a slightly different twist.
If you could walk up to 100 rich people and ask them how they made their money, not one of them would ever tell you they made it through a chain letter of chain web site. It just does not work. People spend huge amounts of money on one or even two page ads hoping they will get enough people to pay for those ads and maybe even make a small profit. We have yet to see anyone run these ads for any extended length of time because they do not work. However, it's your money. Rating? 1 out of 10. Run in the other direction as fast as you can.

Lightyear Wireless Services, get free phone services. The company does not deal in contracts or that is the story anyway. The monthly fee for wireless phone service is $59.95 per month. What that $59.95 per month gets you is unlimited talk, text and web. That in and of itself is expensive from a pre-paid perspective. Straight Talk is only $45.00 per month for the same service.
The financial opportunity, has a start up cost of around $300.00. You get your own mirrored web site. You sell other people on the business opportunity and you make a bunch of money on getting them started and helping them do the same.
In other words, Wireless goes MLM. It all sounds good but is more hype than reality. I can't begin to even want to talk anyone into spending more money for the same level of service they can get for less everywhere else. What I am impressed with is the fact that this company is still in business. We found the opportunity advertised in a popular Business Opportunity magazine that is over a year old.
At least the company is financially solid. I hate beating up any company, but getting to the real gems is what it takes. Our goal is to find you the best and get rid of the rest.
It's worth checking out. There are area's of the nation where this company may make sense. http://www.globalvisionteaminc.com/ is the web site for the opportunity. You have to give them some of your own information in order to continue past the first page. We are expecting a sales call from them and hate to say we plan on just blowing them off when they call. Only because we were researching the site for this article. If your big into MLM, then it's worth your time. If your not, then this is not for you as it's really a very very tough sell.
Our own rating for this is 3 out of 10. There are much better deals out there.
If you want to try before you buy, Temporary Airbrush Tattoo's would be a great way to go. You can try out a tattoo anywhere on your body that lasts about 2 weeks. This way you can get an idea if you can live with the idea and not worry about whether or not it was a good idea or bad idea.
There are times when a tattoo would work well for certain events or parties but you don't want to live with the long term effects of a permanent tattoo. TAT the Temporary Airbrush Tattoo store has a great business opportunity that is well worth looking into.
You do not need to be an artist although being one does help. The company has stencils that can be purchased along with their business start up kits. The prices for their opportunities are very reasonable. This is a very versatile business that can be done on a part time at home business, on the road part time business or as a full time business at various retail outlets or traveling the nation and offering the services at events.
Because of the incredible versatility, low start up costs, decent demand, low liability factors, we rate this opportunity 9 out of 10. You just have to be comfortable working very closely with people and touching skin. CLICK HERE to visit the web site for TAT.

The BBQ Cleaner business opportunity. Talk about a company that shoots themselves in the foot both in their print advertising and on line advertising. Make $77,000.00 per year cleaning BBQ grills. Start up for under $15,000.00. Okay, to begin with the figure to earn $77,000.00 per year is based on a cleaning fee of between $99.00 to $149.00. The work takes about one and a half hours is typical according their advertising.
With the average grill costing about $129.00 new, how many people could possibly think that it's cheaper to have a grill cleaned by a company that charges these kinds of rates as opposed to buying a new grill? It makes more sense to us to throw the grill away and buy a new one for $129.00 if we are that worried about the looks of the grill or the grill being clean enough to continue to use.
Actually, I would be hard pressed to pay even $40.00 to have someone clean my grill that I paid $129.00 for. CLICK HERE to see the business opportunity web site. What is not a surprise if you do read through the site is that they try and sell the opportunity as an add on business to your existing business. Our rating on this opportunity? 2 out of 10. Look somewhere else. This just looks like people trying to move equipment disguised as a business opportunity. We are not saying the business op isn't legitimate, it's just not a smart looking one in our opinion.

Unlike SMC from our Welcome article, WMI looks like a more solid company. They have set up a multitude of ways for you to make money. But the more we dug, the uglier it got and they looked a lot like SMC aka Smart Living Company. This company tells you that they will sell you products at a wholesale cost and you can determine your retail markup. You can sell to other businesses or have your own website built and hosted by them or sell via mail order. We looked over their website at http://www.wmiwholesale.com and looked over their sample product wholesale with retail pricing list and was not exactly impressed. It looked like there were some good deals, but nothing I could not find locally. In many instances, the stated retail prices on the site were outrageous.
So we decided to investigate the Internet for complaints. Sure enough, the complaints are out there. CLICK HERE for one site and one individuals experience. Now as I continued to go through web searches for WMI information, I noticed something that is a very clear red alert. The company is using an SEO trick to flood Internet search to turn up company results that are all positive. Companies use this trick to get rid of any potential negative information about them. Is the company legitimate?
Our answer would be yes. On a scale of 1 to 10 we would rate it at about 2. Not worth your time. Our continued search showed to many red alerts of SEO site stacking tricks to hide negative information about the company. Also, the one article we linked was well researched even though it was poorly written. Can you make money? Probably, but it won't be easy. Recommendation is to keep looking.
Hello and welcome to the American Business Opportunities blog site. Here we will be reporting on all kinds of business opportunities and showing you the good, the bad and the ugly. Not everything you see or read is a bed of roses. What we are going to attempt on this site that will prove to set us apart from all the other sites, is give you a more rounded view of various business opportunities that you normally do not get anywhere else. We will do everything we can to cut through the fluff that you normally find everywhere else.
A great example. Anyone remember SMC? Specialty Merchandise Corporation? Sounded good when they were plugging themselves on TV. Well their own sales force who opted in through those commercials have filed numerous complaints about the parent company. We personally saw a number of people selling SMC merchandise at local flea markets and asked them about their own experiences with the company. None had anything memorable to say and none ever stayed around long as they could not sell the majority of their goods.
The merchandise was fine, but it was all stuff you saw on TV and you had an idea in the back of your mind what that flea market vendor paid for the item and so you had an idea of what you were willing to pay for the goods and it usually did not match what the vendor was willing to accept for the goods. What that told us at that time is that SMC was shooting themselves and everyone else in the foot with the way they were campaigning.
CLICK HERE for a business review of SMC. This review is not at all pretty. There are a large number of bad reviews on line as well as BBB listing issues. We have also learned that SMC has changed their name to Smart Living Company. The issues were to overwhelming for them to maintain their old name. CLICK HERE for the article about the company name change. But have their business practices changed? We just reviewed numerous complaints about the company so it looks like it has just made itself over to get rid of the issues it had created for itself under SMC.
This is the Smart Living Company intro video on You Tube. CLICK HERE for a complaint on the Smart Living Company on Ripoff Report's website. CLICK HERE for the really ugly. Numerous complaints filed against Smart Living Company.
Now is this what will be typical of our coverage? That is both a yes and a no. We will be looking for the best business opportunities out there, however, when we run across issues like this, we want you to be aware. We will look at as many angles as we can about every company we cover. Once again, welcome.
